Centered on healthier lives for the uninsured, Marian Clinic provides health care services to low-income residents of Shawnee County and dental care for residents of northeast Kansas. Medical patients served at the clinic are those living at or below 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines, with no health insurance and ineligible for public health assistance. Marian Clinic Dental patients are those living at or below 200 percent of federal poverty guidelines, with no dental insurance.

Marian Clinic's Services and Expertise

• General Medical Care: At the Garfield location in central Topeka, Marian Clinic staff and volunteers deliver general medical care on-site with referrals as needed for specialists' consultations and treatment, health education and medications.
• Hospital Partners: St. Francis Health Center and Stormont-Vail HealthCare provide donated hospitalization and services for surgery, emergency care, lab and X-ray procedures for Marian Clinic patients.
• Marian Clinic Dental: Dental services offered include exams, cleanings, X-rays, restorations, simple extractions, fillings, sealants and preventive education.
• Patient Visits: Marian Clinic's combined programs provided 16,920 visits for over 4,900 individuals in 2010.

Marian Clinic opened in 1988, and in 1998, combined its dental services with Martin de Porres Clinic, which first opened in 1996 as an outreach of St. Francis Health Center.
